They have this whole new island that appears to be a massive underwater content place which looks great. After waiting forever for them to release Goblins as a race, I was sad to find they have no bald option. If one really hates outland, you don't really need to set foot there to go from 60 to 70, by simply running random dungeons over and over. They spruced up much of the graphics in various ways sans the original races, however the armor does help block out that to a degree, hence having a human rogue. Questing is by far easier then i have ever seen, not needing any outsource of info to complete them. As for any future expansion I guess "Emerald Dream" uuhhh whatever that is...As for the separation of seeing everyone say level 85 all looking and being the same, these new "achievements" seem to help segregate that issue. Also...what gear you have will obviously prove who is "epic" and who is a noob...

Gear also has item levels which may or may not determine your hopes of unlocking content/dungeons, for example if a dungeon has a item level 233 requirement, your butt better meet that req or you aint gettin in it. I believe the item level is determined as a general average of the combined item levels of each item. The one thing though concerning the raising of a level cap in each expansion...I couldn't figure out for the life of me why anyone would just do 5 levels? People in my guild were hitting 85 like on the first day or two...I'm pretty close now myself. It also seems that all the new zones and content they added emphasizes their newfound treatment to the graphical features and there is also more of a "roleplay" style element to most quests. So far...for the cataclysm content as a whole, I really loved the whole underwater content they added, some people find it rough being heavily 3D in movement as opposed to running around on land so to speak. It does seem faster now leveling up 1 - 85 due to the huge amount of stuff to do and the speed of xp gain, plus I might point out that guilds have levels now...guilds can unlock various perks such as an xp bonus I heard, and there is also xp bonus items in the game one can earn which are bound to one's account (i'm sorta fuzzy on it)Yeah I know earning like millions of xp might seem like why bother? But from my personal experience I gained lvl 80-83 in one day roughly give or take a nap and a feast. Making money too which has been a problem for me prior to that lich king expansion now really turned around for me...of course though for anyone first starting out, i'd highly recommend gathering professions, because my rogue is a skinner and miner and has no money issues really. Now that we have flying mounts on azeroth it is like an overwhelming mass amount of hell was lifted off my shoulders, still to train in higher forms of riding skill is costly to a degree but it really isnt a huge demand for your gaming experience...I believe it only helps speed you up and even guild levels have perks for that.

Sorry for the long comments and whatnot, but it occured to me if you wanted to have co-hosts...you should just bring in people you know as "guests" to guest-co-host your shows when the information you want to discuss is of a more familiar topic to such person or persons...i know personally i have very little info or as much interest in wrestling as you do, but some of the other topics you discuss hold water in my regard such a WoW or Harry Potter etc...
Back to a previous tangent heh...I know WoW offers a cheaper way to get the game now, since you mentioned having been hacked to death (if you ever do go back on your personal promise)if you so desired to see what all the fuss was about, or you can easily come over and just check it out on my screen...

It sounds like they did a lot of good stuff with Cataclysm, and it seems neat. I also heard that they have a "Race Change" thing? Today I heard someone say that they had a level 80 Orc or something and they changed the race to Goblin instead of starting all over from 1-85 as a gobbie.

And yea, just 5 levels? That's kind of a non-event, I think. I mean, it sounds like they added enough new content to not need to throw in the level bump, but I guess now people expect it.

Strange that after downloading season 3 for Star Trek Online I'm kinda disappointed that they didn't raise the cap! For some reason, since STO is rank based I don't mind them raising the cap. It's weird.

If they ever do like an all in one type expansion dealy I will prolly pick it up for WoW, assuming it doesn't cost a thousand clams. I have all the expansions handy (minus cataclysm), but for some reason I get grief when I try to install it. Big headache and a lot of discs.

I'm not exactly computer games guy, but i think there is MMO i would like to play. Multiverse of Societies MMO.

Imagine that - different functional artificial AI based societies nested in functionally detailed worlds to which you have to adapt - think Trust & Betrayal: The Legacy of Siboot, think Dwarven Fortress. Both societies and worlds could be created evolutionally, fully by the machine, or by human hand in some part. For example - you as the player have to take artifact from certain village - will you steal it? Buy it? Incite tiny war to take it? At every step of your plan you are faced with autonomous environment pursuing its goals. In another game you may fight for survival in hostile environment (maybe irradiated New Jersey?), or be freshly elected leader of the city that is under constant attack from assasins.

Ok, i know it may be difficult to make such a game interesting for average customer and maybe current AI methods are too weak to generate/emulate enjoyable societies, but i just like the idea of MSMMO.

Actually - i wonder if computer boardish game with random set of rules every time would be good stuff...

@Adrian-I doubt I can even run civilization 5 on my computer. The game you propose would not only immediately break my machine, but possibly set it on fire :]

I doubt that sort of freedom would ever be possible in a computer game. Normal dorky pen and paper roleplaying games can hit the mark closer, I think.

I'd be more into Computer game stuff if I wasn't so brainless when it comes to anything technical, but I do like to dabble every now and then until I break something.

Yeah, a bad idea for a MMO - imo mainly because of the cost of the development (compared to the potential audience), the algorithmic problems would also be no little. But in the end - with enough funding - i believe it could be done. And i believe that it can give you many things pen and paper games can't. Ok - maybe not freedom, but true complex systems of agents, that are impossible to be realistically emulated by human (it could be especially true with more alien systems) - and you can generate a whole multiverse of those systems, or get some fanmade etc.

I'm not board games guy either, but i tried to find random rules "computer board games" after posting my yesterday post and i couldn't. I'm sure they were invented (too obvious idea) but were never popular and nobody bothered writing computer versions of them. It's a pity, i believe computer could make the fun out this idea - 1) remembering users preferences for rules 2) generating ai players 3) generating introductory games for new rulesets 4) automatic ai tests against advantage of one player (especially important in asymetrical rulesets) -> balanced, yet possibly crazy rulesets 5) online gaming server.
