So military force agency of Klingons is called "Defense Force"!? I've always thought of them as raiders and conquerors, not farmers that protect their fields. Or perhaps there is some separate agency of the Empire that does the conquest and KDF only does the policing?
CORRECT! And, well, silly.
You are completely right about this. Klingon Defense Force sounds about as "Klingon" as "Klingon Peace Keeper Flower Planter's Union".
Also, there is a "Klingon Academy" in the game, which drives me nuts. It should be called "Klingon Proving Grounds" or something far more brutal sounding than "Klingon Academy"! Klingons don't LEARN!
But yes, the KDF has a distinctly non-Klingon sound to it. I wish it was something, ANYTHING different that fit a bit better/more savage.
Though, to be fair, the KDF is not JUST Klingons. It is also comprised of Orions, Gorn, Letheans, Nausicans and some other naughty races, so maybe they suggested the "Defense" part!
